Stella was born in Kingsbury, Warwickshire on March 18th 1927. Her Father was a miner and when Kingsbury Colliery closed, she was two & half years old, and the family moved to Birmingham, to run a fish & chip shop.
Mom loved growing up in Birmingham and until the day she died she was a true 'Brummie'
When she was sixteen, she, her Mother, Father, and Brother Jack moved to Erdington in Birmingham where she began work at Constructors as a short hand typist. Here she joined the amateur dramatics society, and she was always a great actress for the rest of her life. It was at Constructors that she met her husband and had three daughters, Anne, Kim & Diane.
When the girls were small the family moved to America where they lived for five years, Stella separated from her husband, and she and the girls returned to England.
Stella then got a job at Rackhams in Birmingham, in the lighting department and was known as the shady lady!
Stella loved her years at Rackhams, and it was here that she met Eileen who was to become a good friend for life, and also Betty.
Stella had six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, who she adored. She was also a great lover of all animals, and chocolate.
For her final year, she had the on-set of alzheimer's disease, she lived at Orchard Blythe Care home where she kept staff and other residents entertained with her naughty humour.
Stella was the kindest and most generous person who always made people laugh, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
